St. Joseph University In Tanzania Launches TVS Product Training Centre to Strengthen Technical Skill Development

St. Joseph University In Tanzania (SJUIT), in collaboration with TVS Motor Company India and Car and General Trading Ltd., officially inaugurated the TVS Product Training Centre (PTC) at its main campus. The ceremony was graced by senior representatives from the DMI administration, TVS Motor, India and Car and General, Tanzania marking a significant step in advancing technical education and industry-oriented training in the country.

The event commenced with a formal welcome of dignitaries, followed by an opening prayer and introductory session. Prof. Eliab Opiyo, Vice Chancellor of SJUIT, delivered the welcome address, highlighting the University’s commitment to producing industry-ready graduates equipped with both theoretical knowledge and practical experience. Special remarks were also delivered by Sri Rahul Nayak, Senior Vice President – International Business, TVSM India, who emphasized TVS’s dedication to empowering youth with cutting-edge automotive skills. Sri Venkatesh Jeyaraman, Managing Director, Car and General Trading Ltd., offered felicitations, reaffirming the importance of sustainable partnerships in supporting national development initiatives.

A key highlight of the ceremony was the MoU signing between SJUIT and Car and General , formalizing the partnership responsible for supporting the establishment, training modules, and operational aspects of the centre. Following the signing, the dignitaries toured the newly established PTC facilities, where they observed world-class equipment and training resources now available to students and local technicians.
