General Minimum Entry Requirements for Admission
Two principal passes in either of the following subjects: Advanced Mathematics or Chemistry or Biology or Physics or combined Physics-Chemistry or Computer Studies or Computer Science for foreign applicants.
The Bachelor of Science with Education With Biology and Computer Science is designed to prepare competent and professional secondary school teachers with strong theoretical and practical knowledge in Biology and Computer Science. The programme combines biological sciences, computing and information technology with educational theory, teaching methodologies, laboratory and practical work, curriculum development, assessment, classroom management, educational technology, and teaching practice.
Students develop the ability to understand biological systems, conduct scientific investigations, use computer technologies, develop computational solutions, analyse information, and communicate Biology and Computer Science concepts effectively to learners. The programme also develops research, critical-thinking, problem-solving, communication, and professional skills for careers in teaching, educational technology, research, and related fields.
