Electrical Wiring Practice of House and Commercial Buildings (Small Factories)

Many people have been wanting to know how to do electrical wiring — even for one room. Some also want to know how to wire small industrial motors for drawing water from a well and bringing it to their home. This course covers both, and helps participants move toward self-employment.

Simple wiring techniques

Lights, fans, switch sockets and house appliances (e.g. bathroom water heater, electric bell) plus industrial motors.

ITEM ii

Safety measures

Precautions to be taken during electrical wiring work.

ITEM iii

Practical wiring

Hands-on household wiring and industrial wiring practice.

ITEM iv

Overcurrent protection

Protection of wiring circuits against overcurrent.

Learning Outcomes

After completion of the short course, the participant should be able to:

Participants will have knowledge about electrical wiring — both domestic and commercial.
Participants will be able to carry out simple wiring in their homes and for some commercial purposes, such as industrial wiring to run a motor.

Who Should Attend?

All from Form Four and above.
Standard Seven leavers may attend if they first complete a special preparatory course.
