Mission Briefing

This short course introduces participants to the fundamentals of drone (UAV) technology, its applications, and regulatory frameworks. Participants will gain hands-on experience in drone assembly, flight operations, maintenance, and data applications relevant to sectors such as agriculture, surveillance, and infrastructure monitoring in Tanzania.

Course Content

The course shall include but not be limited to the following flight-line topics.

01Introduction to drone types and classifications

02Drone components: motors, propellers, flight controllers, GPS modules

03Basic aerodynamics and flight mechanics

04Drone assembly and troubleshooting

05Flight planning and operational procedures

06Remote control systems and telemetry

07Drone safety and legal regulations in Tanzania

08Applications of drones in agriculture, mapping, and surveillance

09Basics of aerial photography and data collection

Post-Course Capability

After completion of the short course, the participant will be able to:
